| Vasona Park is one of the most popular parks in the bay area that derives its name “Vasona” from a local folklore, and was named so by Albert August Vollmer who put the name on the area before the turn of the century. Visitors to Vasona Park appreciate the large Oak population including varieties like Valley Oak and Coast Live Oak. Scrub Jays, Redwing Black birds, Mourning doves, and Pied-billed Grebe are among many birds that make their home in Vasona Park. One of the park’s defining characteristic is its large geese and duck populations who prefer two small islands in the Vasona Lake as their home. www.parkhere.org |

- Fishing Black Bass, Crappie, Catfish and Blue Gill in the Vasona Lake (please bring your own fishing equipment)
- Jogging, Bicycling, Skating and Blading on Several Scenic Paved Trails
- Water Fun Sports for Kids including Water Balloons and Water Sprayers
- Lots of Drinks and Food including Chaat and Kabobs

Directions: The entrance to Vasona Lake Park is located on Blossom Hill Road in Los Gatos. From southbound Highway 17, exit at Lark Avenue and travel east. Turn right on Los Gatos Boulevard and right again onto Blossom Hill Road. Walk-in entrances are located on Garden Hill Drive and University Avenue.
